- We have a community call today at 15:00 UTC to discuss the newly founded Bitcoin Design Foundation, whose goal it is to help make the community sustainable long-term. Join us, whether you’re considering working as a designer in the ecosystem, are interested in donating, or just curious. We also set up a new #foundation channel to chat.
- Join the design review call tomorrow (Nov 15) for 10101 Finance, and the BOLT12 UX Jam session on Friday.
- The research group had a call about evaluating and documenting the user interviews done for Bitcoin Core.
- We applied for a talk at FOSS Backstage to share and discuss how the community supports open design in the bitcoin ecosystem.
Bitcoin design guide 🗺️
- In the last jam session, we covered ongoing work around backup solutions with descriptors, user flows for miniscript-based recovery paths, multi-wallet design considerations and more. The next session is on Monday, November 20.
- The new code resources page is live, listing code libraries based on the guide and UI Kit.
- The new multi-wallet management page PR is awaiting more reviews. Share your feedback.
- In draft mode are an early version of a reference design for custom spending conditions, and the final Wallet Scrutiny case study page. Not ready for review, but ready to peek in.
- There’s a discussion around how the bitcoin backups page can be improved. Chime in here.
- Looking to flex your creative muscles? We have a few open issues (one, two, three) to create header images for pages.
Seeking feedback 🗣️👂
- The BOLT12 website project is back in action. Share your thoughts on visual direction and content in the #bolt12 channel.
- Plebpoet is working on the Geyser fund case study. Drop in comments to the write up.
- What are reasons to ban peer connections to your node? The Bitcoin Core App team is wondering.
- The Saving Satoshi team completed chapter 4 and is looking for coders to test and provide feedback.
- Coinbits is looking to understand how people use and think about bitcoin. Fill out their survey.

- Who is bitcoin? Just in case you were wondering, the team over at Spiral came up with this fun video campaign. Chat about it in Discord.
- The crew over at Wallet Scrutiny have been doing live Twitter spaces. Follow them on twitter to see when the next one is happening.
- A Bit of Design is a great talk by Erik on usability and design in bitcoin.
- Talk recordings from various recent conferences are now available, including Legends of Lightning, Nostrasia, Adopting Bitcoin, Bitcoin Amsterdam, and Pacific Bitcoin.
- Bitshala has a call on November 23 for learning about and discussing Coinswaps.
- Eagle Sats mashes up email lists, advertising and lightning in an interesting way. Discuss in #merchants.
- The bitcoin symbol as we know it today was launched about 13 years ago on November 1. See bitcoin.holidays for other milestone dates.
